The Rebel Cactus smartwatches can call kids and have their location tracked. But there is a difference between the GO and the MiNi.
The MiNi
Our MiNi is specially designed for smaller wrists (and younger kids)! This smartwatch is a call watch only. This means you can see location, make (video) calls, chat and clock! No Wifi, no Bluetooth. This is different from its big brother, the GO. You can read about that below.
The GO
The GO is the big brother of the MiNi and our bestseller! With this smartwatch you can see GPS location, make (video) calls, chat and clock just like its little brother. But the kids can do much more. The watch has its own free and secure AppStore with WhatsApp, games, Spotify and much more. So online apps that cost data (or wifi)!
Have you opted for the GO and are you sure your child is going to use a lot of data outside the home? Then it's wise to choose unlimited. That way you avoid unexpected high costs.
Would you like to save data? Tip! Use wifi wherever possible or connect the GO to your cell phone's hotspot. Handy if you are on the road and your son or daughter wants to use his or her Rebel Cactus GO.
Opted for the MiNi? Then all you need is a prepaid SIM card. This way you can top up yourself when needed. In addition, Lebara always gives a signal by SMS when your bundle is (almost) empty, so you avoid running out of credit and not being able to reach your child. How much data do I consume on average with a smartwatch?
Fortunately, the cost of SIM cards plus data is limited today. If you only use the GPS Tracker that determines your location every 60 seconds, you consume about 1.5 MB per day. This means a consumption of 45 MB per month. You can also choose to put it on "power save mode. Then you will get a location update every 60 minutes, or you can request this live whenever you want. This will also save call credit.
If your outdoor hero has the Rebel Cactus GO and regularly uses all the fun apps that come on the smartwatch, then the average MBs per month will be a lot higher.
