All the kids at school love the watch. They had an assignment for topo and he was smart enough to call his mother. The teachers had to laugh about it, but did ask if we wanted to set the hours, otherwise he would have to go in the bin by the phones. Anyway, it works very well. It is super handy when he goes to play alone somewhere and we want to reach him (eating… going home… to soccer). This way we always have easy contact so everything goes smoothly. Super nice birthday present!

SIM card
Rebel Cactus is a standalone kids smartwatch with two way calling capability. That's why you need a nano SIM card that pops into the watch. This also ensures a data connection for the tracking feature of the smartwatch. Rebel Cactus is SIM lock free and works on most networks, with nearly all providers. In the Netherlands the only exception is Simyo, their sim doesn't support smartwtaches. Please also check you the local simcard provider in your country.
Fortunately, the cost of a SIM card and data are relatively low.
If you're only making use of the GPS Tracker which tracks location every 60 seconds, you'll use approximately 1.5 MB of data per day.This converts to a monthly usage of around 45 MB. Rebel Cactus Play is also a learning tool with smart games and various learning apps. We expect that as your child gets older, their data usage will increase.

Rebel Cactus has the ability to connect to WiFi. As soon as the smart watch connects to a WiFi network, it no longer uses data via the prepaid or subscription data plan.
Tip! Hot spot
Connect Rebel Cactus kids smartwatch to a hot spot on a parent's or family member's smartphone and the watch stops using its own data allotment. Of course this only works if you're within range of each other.
